• • Light: Low to moderate. Intense light promotes green spot algae on the leaves.
  • Temperature: 22°C to 28°C is optimal.

• • Do not bury the rhizome: Burying the thick horizontal stem causes the plant to rot.
  • Attachment: Secure the rhizome to aquarium wood or rockwork using fishing line, thread, or cyanoacrylate gel glue.
  • Substrate: If placed on the bottom, only bury the thin, dangling feeder roots. Keep the main rhizome fully exposed to the water column.

  • Supplemental carbon dioxide (CO2) is non-essential but accelerates growth rates.

• • Divide the mother plant by cutting the main rhizome into smaller sections.
